Meeting the Moment: Transforming the HIV Response in a Time of Change

June 10 - 12, 2025 | Johannesburg, South Africa

CQUIN is convening a three-day in-person meeting for Ministries of Health, recipients of care, and other stakeholders from June 10 to 12, 2025.

The meeting will largely focus on the initial emergency response phase (through the end of 2025) and will be organized around five elements of the HIV Emergency Response Framework, with an emphasis on government-led and community-driven HIV service delivery, quality, and community engagement as the central elements for the overall emergency response.

Member countries will be encouraged to share progress to date in responding to the current funding environment as well as updates on their HIV emergency response plans; exchange best practices and experiences such as examples of new models of integrated services and use of the goals model for prioritizing elements of a national HIV response; and gather feedback from attendees.

Country teams will use the information gained from the meeting’s presentations and discussions to refine their ongoing emergency response, including actionable short-term adaptations to sustain gains, maintain momentum, and foster resilience, while laying the groundwork for the long-term sustainability of HIV services. These insights will also contribute to the development of member countries’ sustainability roadmaps.
