Dear CQUIN Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the second Peter Preko Leadership Award, which will commemorate the life and contributions of Dr. Peter Owusu Preko by recognizing individuals within the CQUIN network who embody his spirit of leadership, community building, and innovation.
In addition to being a trailblazing expert in the design and delivery of HIV services, Dr. Preko excelled in health system strengthening, high-impact advocacy, and bringing stakeholders together to improve HIV prevention, testing, care, and treatment throughout Africa and the world. A teacher, a role model, and a diplomat, he encouraged cooperation, collaboration, and joint learning across organizations, institutions, and national borders.
This award will honor an individual who demonstrates a drive to collaborate, a track record of fostering high-impact learning exchange among diverse stakeholders, and a commitment to innovative solutions in HIV service delivery. The 2026 winner will receive a commemorative plaque at the December CQUIN annual meeting.
