The personalized, one-to-one relationship between individuals seeking HIV-related clinical services (i.e., recipients of care) and those providing support (i.e., case managers) was recommended by WHO in 2016 as an intervention to support linkage to treatment. Since then, national HIV programs have used case management to support HIV service delivery across the cascade of HIV testing, linkage, treatment, and retention.
In this webinar, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shared the findings of a case management survey conducted in CQUIN member countries on how countries use case management to support HIV service delivery. Eswatini and Nigeria also shared country case studies.
