Decentralized Distribution of Antiretroviral Therapy through the Private Sector: Case Studies and Lessons Learned

Over 170 participants joined CQUIN’s maiden webinar on Decentralized Distribution of Antiretroviral Therapy Through the Private Sector.

The CQUIN webinar which was in collaboration with FHI360’s EPIC project brought together panelists from Nigeria, Malawi, Mozambique, Lesotho, and South Africa. The panelists presented case studies outlining how the various ministries of health (MOH) collaborated with private pharmacies to scale up decentralized ART drug distribution.

There were an interactive chat and questions and answer sessions, which touched on issues such as MOH and private pharmacy collaboration, fees, monitoring and evaluation of patients, data sharing between stakeholders, stigma, and other themes that affect decentralized drug distribution.
