As countries continue integrating HIV services into routine health care systems, ministries of health are paying increasing attention to strengthening advanced HIV disease (AHD) services, while prioritizing AHD indicators and the use of routine AHD data for decision-making and scale-up.
In part two of this webinar series, Uganda shared its practical approach for integrating the AHD package and priority indicators into routine health care systems. This session also highlighted decentralized hub-and-spoke models, the integration of AHD monitoring into routine health information systems, and country implementation experiences at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of care, including community-based services.
