CD4 Need Calculator:
This tool is intended to quantify country level CD4 testing need. In order to generate a forecast, the number of people on ART for the next five (5) years is estimated using UNAIDS and the forecast based on four years of historical data capped by the number of people living with HIV (PLHIV). Users are able to input the number of CD4 tests needed for ART initiation, for those without viral load (VL) coverage, and for those with an unsuppressed VL result.
AHD Commodity Calculator:
The AHD Commodity Calculator is a tool designed to support programs in the annual quantification of essential commodities for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) and related coinfections. The tool operates in two main sections:
- General Inputs: Users enter data on the number of patients in care and on ART, as well as the expected number of new or re-initiating patients. The calculator estimates the number of patients with AHD and calculates the commodity needs for both existing and new patients. Users can adjust assumptions based on country-specific data, including viral suppression rates and the proportion of patients with CD4 counts above 200.
- Commodity Inputs: This section allows users to adjust pricing and pack sizes for key commodities, such as flucytosine (5FC), liposomal Amphotericin B (L-AmB), fluconazole, and Amphotericin B deoxycholate, based on local procurement data. The tool then outputs the required quantities of these commodities, along with estimated costs, including buffer stock considerations.
