Lesotho

Lesotho joined the CQUIN learning network in December 2022 and has actively participated in CQUIN meetings, webinars, communities of practice, and more.

2024 UNAIDS estimates that Lesotho has 260,000 [240,000-300,000] adults and children living with HIV, and an HIV prevalence of 17.1% in adults aged 15-49 [21.8% in women and 12.3% in men]. An estimated 97% of people know their HIV status, 94% of people who know their status are on treatment, and 93% of those on treatment are virally suppressed.

In 2025, Lesotho participated in CQUIN-supported HIV service prioritization assessments to support the sustainability of HIV programs amid a changing global funding landscape.
